One easy-ish way to establish whether you're speaking to a logical person is to ask them to criticise the thing they support; nothing is perfect and there are always areas to improve.
For example, many ‘OleIn’ and ‘OleOut’ folks are incapable of understanding the other side.

There is some sort of tribalism amongst fans on either side. Some of the most insightful people in my life have been those who disagree with me. Yet, on Twitter especially, there is an unwillingness to humble oneself to the possibility of being wrong.
People ask me whether I want the manager to stay or go. I want him to do better. If he does so and we perform better then I'm happy with him staying. If he doesn't then I'd sadly prefer someone else. Yet, some people are adamant beyond conversation on either side.
I don't think it will change. Fans have become too fanatical with their support/criticism of the manager & players to the extent that you can't praise or criticise anyone without a group from the other side feeling the urge to argue as if there's no logic behind what you've said.
I'm just thinking out loud here…I'll stop.
Peace.
