Let's talk about that number that is circulating from the guy who doesn't know how elections work in GA — the claim is 1000 people mailed in absentee ballot applications, got their ballots in the mail, and returned them all on the same day. We should all agree that's impossible.
It is impossible. Here's what happens.
In Georgia, if you show up at the Board of Elections to vote and it isn't early voting, they make you fill out the ballot application then and there. Then they give you the absentee ballot and you cast it there or you can leave with it.
Either way, it is listed as an absentee ballot and the log must show both the date of receipt of the application and the date of receipt of the ballot. So if you apply in office and vote, it looks like it was mailed and returned the same day.
Go look at every election in Georgia and you'll see the same phenomenon. It's not a conspiracy. It's people actually going to the Board of Elections.
