1) Seeing a lot of attempts recently by NRIs in Canada & the usual Khan Market gang to drive an artificial wedge between Hindus & Sikhs in order to overtake the ongoing dialogue between farmers & government for their own malicious agenda.

2) First of all, Sikhism IS a different religion legally and we respect that. But neither party can deny the common structure, shared culture & heroes - two branches of the same tree. Recent attempts at Abrahamization and subnationalization are both dangerous & fake.

3) Guru Gobind Singh-

"Sakal jagat main Khalsa Panth gaje
Jage dharam Hindu sakal bhand bhaje"

"The Khalsa sect will roar around the world. Hinduism will awaken, its enemies will flee."

4) Idolatory and worship of deities was common practice in Gurudwaras as late as 1920s when the Khalsa Akali movement took over. The Sikh empire had ritualistic pujari Santani Sikhs until the mid 19th century.

There was no us vs them. This "othering" is very recent and top-down

5)"Hindus, do not fear, Guru Tegh Bahadur is Guru Nanak's successor. If Muslims bother you, I'll take care of them. For I am the protector of Hinduism."

6)Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote a book on maa Chandi. He claimed to be a direct descendant of Bhagwān Rāma through Luv. The book was Chandi Charitra I. It states:
"O Shiva, grant me this boon,....
that I may teach myself this greed alone,
to sing only of thy praises"

7)In the Holy scripture of Sikhs, Shri Guru Granth Sahib, the most frequently used word is "Hari" which is used 8344 times. The word "Rama" is used 2533 times The word "Gobind" is used 475 times. The word "Murari" is used 97 times. The word "Waheguru" is used only 13 times.

8) The Ek Omkar is Nirguna Brahmana of Vedanta. Sat Sri Akal is Vedanta- Satya, Sri and Timeless (akal).

Omkār comes from the Sanskrit "aum."

How then are our core philosophies in any way mutually exclusive or contradictory?

9)The name of 'Singh' is adopted from the Rajputs. The Kirpāṇ is also adopted from the martial tradition of the Rajputs carrying the Kaṭār. The turban too was common for all Indians- many Swami & gurus wore it too.

What is being projected as "Punjabi culture" is Indic culture

10) Guru Gobind Singh wrote the famous Aarti for Puri Jaggannath.

Every year the Maharajah of Patiala donates a gold bracelet to the River Sarsa in accordance to Hindu traditions.

Nirmala Sikhs still participate in all Kumbh Mela and have their own Akhara in Haridwar.

11) Maharaha Ranjit Singh of the Sikh Empire restored Harminder Sahib, donated 1000 kg gold to Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, cow slaughter carried the death penalty in his realm, turned Badshahi mosque in to horse stables. He wanted to donate the Kohinoor to Puri Jagannath temple.

12) Btw, death penalty was completely BANNED under Ranjit Singh's rule EXCEPT only in the case of cow slaughter!

Guru Gobind sent his army of Nihang Sikhs who fought along with Naga Sadhus to route the Mughal army coming for Shri Ram Janmabhumi!

13) Nihangs did Yajna inside the disputed Ayodhya templex complex in 1858. A FIR lodged states that "they inscribed, Ram! Ram! with charcoal on the walls of the Masjid!"

This document n this incident was instrumental in winning the court case last year.

14) When Aurangjeb ordered Kashmiri pandits to "convert or die", Guru Tegh Bahadur said:

""Go and tell Aurangzeb that if he can convert Guru Tegh Bahadar to Islam, they will all convert. Otherwise he should leave them alone"".

The Mughal emperor failed.

15) On his subsequent martyrdom, his son wrote: "For the sake of saints, he laid down his head without even a sigh. For the sake of Dharma, he sacrificed himself. He laid down his head but not his creed."

He lived a dharmic. Died a dharmic.

Lalaata shunyam, smashaana tulyam.

16) Khalsa miltarism has always been for Dharma and the land of Dharma. For India and her children. The Khalsa that has served this land with its blood against enemies will never stand for something against the idea of India.

The Gurus knew this.
We believe in this.

17) Guru Gobind ji Maharaj asked the eldest male child from all families to fight for this land. All Hindus complied. You can still hear stories & legends of trust, brotherhood and valor all around the villages in North India.

Such sacredness must remain eternal.

18) The saffron sun shall shine eternal on this land.

For in all ages and all times the Supreme Mother will be paid in blood of her enemies by her reborn sons.
