🛢 A gentle reminder: ND Co-Working Group is not my full-time job. I'm a postgraduate researcher who has ADHD; I'm already working twice as hard to keep up with my peers. I'm proud of this group and proud of the work I do @ADHD_Hub. BUT:
I receive multiple requests every week for meetings, resources and other support. This eats into my research time, my free time and the time I *want* to spend working on my Hub projects.
This community means a lot to me. I value the friendships and support here. I also need to protect what free time I DO have. Please bear in mind that many of us have multiple responsibilities outside of our day-jobs and studies.
The best way you can help me to help you? Think before you make a request. Is this urgent? Is it something a Google search can help with? Are there others in your circle who may be better placed to advice or support?
Those of us in community who advocate or provide voluntary services are giving you that most precious of resources: our energy. As soon as this becomes *work* work, we become depleted. I'm thinking here not just of ADHD advocates, but mental health advocates like @ZJAyres et al.
So please give us grace and space, and let us protect our downtime so that we can better serve you.

Thank you for reading and for understanding.
(And thanks in advance for not pointing out the "advice"/"advise" typo, which will eat at my brain all day 🙃)
