Great to see acknowledgement of importance of #patientvoices and human faces for #AMRsurvivors but can we please keep talking about how these are selected, and whether they are representative of the problem overall.
In particular community acquired infections, many treated in sexual health, are a big part of AMR in the NHS / global north but not a big part of the conversation.
What would be the advantages and disadvantages of making them more visible beyond the tired media ‘superbug’ trope trotted out for MDR gonorrhoea?
Would love to hear from patient groups and charities active in sexual health on this issue @THTorguk @BrookCharity @DecoloniseContr and others who might want to get involved in discussing possibilities.
