Bolt is the king of vitriol. He is a racist who have made life painful for many of us, me included. Defend him all you want, but his vitriol is without measure. This kind of commentary is so blinded to the consequences of your so called âfree speechâ. A speech which generalising (yours included) leave us open to abuse on the streets, trolled, spat on and worse.

@3AWNeilMitchell let me know when you are afraid of your child or relatives leaving the house because of Bolt recent article and reading comments about âcullingâ us. Maybe then, maybe then, we can compare notes on vitriol.
@3AWNeilMitchell or when he drags in your work and you think youâll be fired (while a single parent and heavily pregnant). Or all that time when his articles are picked up my far right groups and your are mercilessly trolled that you are too concerned to sleep in your own home.
This is not a sob story, it is the price black women like me pay to speak up against Bolt. Many of us suffer this silently. Getting up and going at it again, without pay, and without large pulpit that Bolt or your enjoy. And neither do we even have the support you give him.
Even this thread is a risk for me, but to watch this defence, as if the man has not left a trail of victims by his vitriol, was just had to eat up. You may not see Bolt victims because they are not your children, your family, your community, or you.
It is anyone business to explore a business model of outrage, hatred and racism, but the victims canât attend the party to celebrate the âinnocentâ of those who engage in this business. We canât pretend not to see the links when they are the scars in our lives.
