Revisiting the ManU match. Fred came into a tackle against Verrati studs up when the match had been played for 44 seconds. He touched the ball, but studs were up as he was sliding to Verratti and hit him with those said studs around calf muscle. It started early... 44 seconds.
It wasn’t in his control where he hit Verratti. He was given many lifelines in the match.
The actual head butt of course is a travesty. Hilarious that MU players were complaining about the way PSG plays when their played head butts an opponent. Funny how Maguire said that PSG's goals were scrappy when all they had was a scrappy and incredibly lucky own goal by PSG.
Played = player
Fred goes stud up to Paredes's foot, again, no control, Parades gets yellow.
The very fact that anyone complained about the second yellow for Fred should primarily celebrate that he got so many chances to begin with.

Revisiting that bit now where Mctominay steps on Neymar's ankle. He comes in with a dangerous tackle from behind, then continues to step over Neymar backwards for no good reason and people are giggling when while this happening Neymar raises his hands and they touches the crotch.
Get it, touches the crotch.. it is a bit like Neymar is gay... hilarious. Nevermind anything else.
Mctominay continues like nothing. As you do after a hard impact on your dick, am I right guys.
Geezzzz these people are juvenile.

Half time now. Look, I understand that PSG can give as good as it gets, although rarely unpunished. There was a time when Paredes in my opinion got away with a very unnecessary rough challenge on Cavani.
But all in all these English teams always complain about nonsense they're very guilty of. It was exactly the same thing with Liverpool the other year. When they lost while being outplayed on the pitch they were complaining about things that were just silly and quite childish.
PSG defence really made some mistakes. Few lucky breaks in the second half, but the MU's momentum didn't last forever either. The Martial chance is so so... he skyed it yes, but if it was going any lower, as in toward the goal, chances are that Florenzi would've blocked it.
Can't say that as 100% fact, but as I was just now watching the angles and slow motion, it seems to me like that.
Cavani's ball that hit the top bar was a food one. Just not good enough, but great idea and almost great execution. Martial after that had a chance from the rebound. He was criticised for that, but he had little room as Navas was charging and Marquinhos coming.
Also another PSG player running towards him from behind. So Martial had neither time nor space and he had to shoot and Navas was covering almost all. It wasn't as good chance really as it was talked about. He tried, it didn't go in.
Florenzi's crosses are dangerous and he could have a few more assists on his name if the forwards had been more clinical this season.
I have the world of respect for Rashford for all the work he does outside football and he is a great player as well, but he didn't have absolutely amazing evening. He got goal, but it really was an own goal. Without deflection Navas had it comfortably covered.
Fred's second yellow was perhaps his least deserving tackle of the evening, but his nonsense had been adding up like said since the 44th second of the match. After his headbutt he got 50 minutes of grace. That is significant advantage for the team.
Also what was remarkable is that Mctominay didn't get yellow at any point. No player from MU outside if Fred got cards. Paredes had one for having been stabbed by Fred's studs and Verratti took an obligatory one.
Last goal was a thing of beauty. Remarkable technical ability by Neymar, Mbappé with control and through pass to Rafinha while Neymar plays himself free from Maguire who had already dribbled past once in this attack. Neymar then taps into an empty net. Just wonderful.
I like to rewatch the matches because you can see what happens without the nerves and you see it surprisingly differently on the second goal. Basically this match was much more comfortable than what it felt in real time. MU had few moments, 10-15 minutes in the second half,
But not all those chances were that dangerous. Some were, but mostly not. In the end the opponent got one goal which they didn't really score themselves. It was a good effort from the team. Not really one that will necessarily win you the trophy, but a good one. Positive trend.
Let's hope that this kick starts a period of less injuries and more fun. Unblocking of Mbappé's goals and fit Verratti.
Next week, focus is definitely needed to see this through. Not an easy match, but very doable.
Before that Montpellier sans covid positive Delort.

That concludes my second look of ManU vs. PSG from earlier this week. Thank you and Allez Paris!
