QB- Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan will be 36 going into 2021, but that is not a reason to fade him. Matt Ryan has been the QB12 or better 8 out of his 12 seasons, and he has been a top 15 QB (as of week 12) the last 6 years in 4 points per TD leagues.
Also, Matt Ryan has a very comfortable contract where the Falcons would get 50 million in dead cap to cut him. I do not expect the Falcons to cut Matt Ryan until the soonest of 2022. Most people will begin to drop Matt Ryan's value once they see he is over 35 years old.
As a contender, Matt Ryan is the perfect QB to add to your team (especially in SF leagues) to provide cheap stability for one more year (if not longer). Matt Ryan also has arguably the best WR core around him with Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.
During the off-season, you will be able to move a mid to late third-round pick for Ryan in 1QB leagues, and you can move a mid to late 2021 2nd for Matt Ryan in Superflex leagues.
RB- Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry will be 27 in 2021, and many people will be scared by his age. Everyone should have some concern because I currently do not have any RB in the top 20, who is 27 years old, or older. I expect Henry to be different, though because I do not see his workload decreasing.
Henry just signed a large contract for an RB that guarantees a starting spot for him in 2021 (not so much in 2022 with only 6 million dead cap). Henry also has been a top 3 back in PPR in 2019 and 2020 (through week 12).
Henry also has 37 more carriers than any other RB in 2020 and had the most carriers in 2019. Henry is an excellent RB add for any 2021 contending team. I would send a mid-2021 1st for Henry in 1QB, and I would send a late 2021 1st to early 2021 2nd for Henry in a SF league.
During the peak of rookie fever, I can see both of those deals, especially once people see Henry's age.
WR- Tyler Lockett
Tyler Lockett will be 28 in 2021. DK is jumping Lockett in PPR fantasy leagues for 2020, but Lockett is still the WR7 on the year. In the 2021 offseason, Lockett will yet again be undervalued even though he can be a top 12 WR in 2021.
Lockett is under a reasonable contract in 2021 and is only making half a million more than Brandin Cooks and Robby Anderson. Also, Lockett has a legit QB in Russell Wilson for at least until 2021. After the NFL draft, you should be able to send an early 2021 2nd for Lockett.
TE- Travis Kelce
Travis Kelce is a monster! He may end up being the best fantasy football TE ever. Kelce was undervalued in 2020 start-ups because of his age, and he will continue to be undervalued in 2021 start-ups. I have had Travis Kelce as THE TE1 in dynasty since the 2020 off-season.
I do not plan on changing anything in 2021 even though Kelce will be 31 at the start of the 2021 season. Kelce has been the TE1 the last five seasons (including 2020 as of week 12), and he has shown no sign of slowing down his fantasy football production.
Also, Kelce was just paid at the beginning of the season. Kelce does not have any dead cap after 2021, but that does not make me nervous because he is an instrumental part of the Chiefs explosive offense. I can see Kelce playing another 3 years as a top 4 TE every season.
I believe having a top TE is crucial to solidifying yourself as a top-end fantasy contender. I would send a late 2021 1st plus a mid-tier TE for Kelce in 1QB leagues, and I would send an early-2021 2nd plus a mid-tier TE for Kelce in Superflex leagues.
1st round rookie picks miss at a 50% rate so do not be afraid to move picks for players especially if it leads you to be a top-end contender. I would look to make all of these trades after the NFL draft because rookie picks will be valued at an all-time high. Thanks for reading!
