I hit 200 subs in YouTube this week. (226 by this time)
@AliAbdaal PTYA course has been a great contributor to this growth indeed!
The growth rate is picking up.
These are 7 things I've learnt.

1. Titles and Thumbails
They should entice the viewer to open the video.
They should make a promise but don't disclose exactly what the video is going to cover.
If there's no curiosity, people won't click.
Thumbnail tips:
- Minimal to no text > Text.
- Face > No Face

2. The hook.
The first 15 secs of the video are the most important.
I used to start with an introduction, but at <200 subs almost all my traffic comes from search aka people that don't know me -> They don't care about intros
Hook them with your value prop first, then intro.

3. Optimize for humans, not for robots
Yeah, SEO is important, but in the end, there's a human being on the other side of the screen.
Things like retention rate and engagement weight much more than views nowadays.
Optimize your vid around that.

4. Know thy target audience.
I thought that my target audience was just "People that like Notion".
WRONG
I wrote this instead from an exercise in PTYA.

5. Let these shape your content:
1. Who's the character?
2. What do they want?
3. Why can’t they get what they want?
4. What are the stakes if they don't get it?
5. Who or what helps them
6. How do they get what they want?
7. How are they transformed by this experience?

6. Content ideas are everywhere
There's virtually no unique idea.
Your social media should be your coal mine.
A place you can go to and come out with new content ideas.
I have created this list for that matter: https://twitter.com/i/lists/1293440733928554496

7. Do things that don't scale (in the beginning is easier)
I respond to each and every comment.
I help people via Twitter DM if they have questions about something I have posted.
I'm ALWAYS available.
