the way stans have streaming down to a science and technically their streams are real and human while also abusing the system is fascinating
go to any big artist's big fan pages near the release of a new album by said artist and you'll find clear, easy instructions to "optimize" your streams towards helping the artist chart and profit
not to mention the way bts fans pay for the album purchases of other fans so that those who can't afford to buy an album can still listen to it without pirating it and it also helps the artist chart. fascinating stuff
it's a weird cult of personality that places too much importance on bad systems like the billboard charts and grammies, but these communities and their actions are fascinating
