One of my Neighbor called, they had attended a close family wedding 4 days back. Yday night the father of the groom who had been having breathing difficulty since 2-3 days went into respiratory distress & died on reaching hospital, his covid test is +. Now my neighbor is worried.
Because my neighbor has a parent who is 80 yr old. His elder brother is morbidly obese & diabetic.

I said then your risk of exposure is high. Please isolate your family members & also isolate yourself from your parent.

Testing negative for covid post an exposure doesn't necessarily give you clean chit from infection.
Because that will depend on how many days post exposure you got tested, also what kind of test was done, a test done right next day even if negative doesn't clear you.

Also, please understand that when you go for weddings, but choose to remove your mask for photo ops or dancing or chatting or eating (especially in closed spaces - which is what is called as shared air space) you are exposing yourself to covid risk. Please choose wisely.
In dancing, loud conversations, laughing etc especially in closed air conditioned air spaces the 6 ft rule of social distancing is not enough.
Also, if you are hosting a wedding, it would be a good idea to keep your guest list strictly limited & ask for covid testing prior to it

Also, if you are host, please insist on universal masking at your event, at all times. When you say it yourself, it becomes less awkward & more easier for guests to comply.
As a guest, please assume that everyone around is probably covid + and take your precautions accordingly.
