Guys, I’ve been thinking about how this ‘rona vaccine has been created ‘too fast’. This was my initial reservation too.
The thing is, yeah, if they had been making it from scratch this *would* seem rushed and unsafe, but it’s like designing a new car.
We’ve been making cars for decades now so when we have to come up with one to meet a new brief we have the bulk of the research and basics done.
We can take all those learnings and start from three quarters of the way down the track - we aren’t having to invent the combustion engine all over. Same with the vaccine, we aren’t discovering smallpox-resistant milkmaids all over.
So, I reckon I’m gonna trust the clever guys and gals who have been doing these things for years when they say yeah, s’all good.
It’s okay to be wary of things like this new vaccine, it’s natural to be, but it’s important to remember your level of knowledge on it and defer to those who know that shit. Sure, read up on it if you want, but you need to respect the guys and gals who know their fucking onions.
The only thing you need to worry yourself about when you get offered this jab is ‘arm or arse?’.
