Steven Gerrard was a phenomenal captain for Liverpool. Steven G was often regarded as captain fantastic because of his ability to inspire. The most famous example was his man of the match performance in his club's comeback win against AC Milan in the 2005 Champions league final.
Despite his infamous slip in 2014 against Chelsea that ensured that Liverpool did not win the Premier League, I still rank Gerrard as having the greatest impact on his team.
His Liverpool team may not have had as much talent as Manchester United or Chelsea but Steven G was able to lead them to great heights.
