Track 2 - Woman of No Nation https://open.spotify.com/track/0ErL0R1ewyfrrebpPW3tGa?si=53hZA9wETLyHTYTz2N9wmA Heavy funk metal riffing, driving solos, pulsing drums and swirling organs. The title is a phrase my wife once used to describe her cultural identity. It started life as a cover of You Haven’t Done Nothing by Stevie Wonder!
Track 3 - Metro https://open.spotify.com/track/3zr1mk8yJBvnfIg4CLfTtp?si=HBt03sHsTLyWgnJJpeVYzA Heavy riffs, heavy drums, heavy guitars and piercing solo breaks. Pacey and sharply executed, the rhythm track was based on the engine roar of a fighter jet!
Track 4 - Five Star Hell https://open.spotify.com/track/431fwuKELpTHgoJ0jSnfSe?si=0Hqf7Va7SpKRmCt5GxrECw A slightly lighter approach to instrumental rock guitar, a track interspersed with rhythmic interludes amongst quick fire solo breaks, inspired by a typical day sorting out celebrity dramas in Los Angeles! A minor bed allows multitracked guitars to slice through a desolate windswept landscape. This was an exercise in forcing myself to slow down and serve the song! Less is more.

A pounding rhythm lays the foundations for multitracked guitars and a swirling Hammond organ. This was a nod to my eternal love for the early ‘90’s Seattle rock scene.

Pulsing rhythms lay the foundations for multitracked guitars and unrepentant solos. This developed into a protest track with a revolutionary narrative.

Written for family and friends, it now has a life of its own!
Track 10 - Rebel Cow https://open.spotify.com/track/2XwF1YAOjJPapqOUhJ4OqY?si=zQVgiPW2Rfygbfa6LS5SFw An unashamedly punk rock instrumental. Pulsing drums and a driving bassline lay the bed for quickfire guitar rhythms and fast paced solos. A nod to the late ‘80’s/ early ‘90’s speed metal heyday!

The guitar orchestrates a heavy, swirling track with a high-octane outro. Shades of the early ‘90’s LA rock scene are abundant in this track.

Short, snappy and effective! Originally called ‘Thaasophopia’, that was proving too difficult to spell!

Tightly composed guitars that build to a crescendo over a military beat. A tribute to my dad, a navy man of 22 years service...
