A thread of my favorite DMC3/4/5/m players.
Disclaimer: I will list a few suspicious players that may have faked their gameplay. I am also biased towards older generations, as they often inspired me when I started playing, meaning they were often much better than me.

These are in no particular order.
I'll put an "honorable mentions" list for players who aren't necessarily my favorite, but either put one amazing video or are undeniably one of the best.

perhaps the first real improvisational freestyler in the series, years ahead of his time, especially with Trickster, and mindful of environmental uses, such as using pole play to reset his aerial moves.

I never seen someone come back from such a long hiatus plus breaking a previous peak by a mile plus being the rare DMC3 player willing to play other DMC games and is great at them.
-Moe: Multifaceted, years ahead of his time. Swordmaster is varied and technical, my favorite with Abyss, maybe the first to use complex E&I JCs and insane DT juggles. On of the first uses of environmental combos in freestyle and freeride chaining.
Incredible gunslinger, probably first to use stinger+wildstomp cancels, cool spheres against wraths, etc. Great Trickster using much of the environment too. Doppelganger freestyle too like wtf was this guy. Too bad he did not really touch Vergil
-Ramada:
One of the most "ahead of his time" players I've ever seen. Only a handful of players ever get to push the meta this hard in the series history. Revolutionized Vergil from the monotony of the time, was probably the reason the Trial of Warrior room is the norm today.

His Dante was no slouch either, showing some advanced concepts unused at the time, such as wallsplat usage or JCing on standing enemies to such a degree. Should have won at least one TST entry, his lasting impact is proof of this.
-Circuit/Herarena:
Obscure, but if you were lucky enough to catch his livestreams, you would be inspired. The best almost-always-in-DT Vergil player, one of the best Vergils of all time. Clean, refined, technical, and somewhat improvisational.

He inspired Blowhard and me in some ways. Recently willing to use some cool Vergil mods, which is unique for a Japanese player. Pretty decent combos for in other DMCs too.
-Strukkile + 0er:
I have mostly seen their collaborations. S0 rise is my favorite dual combo video I've ever seen. Combos so ahead of their time, so many unique concepts and sense of aesthetic. Even the simple things in S0 Rise such as doing Quicksilver combos in M18 with its

inverted colors is genius. 0er using Vortex in DT gunslinger combos without awkwardness and even making an insane gunslinger Trial of Warrior run. Strukkile breaking the monotony of basic JCs, adding variations in reversing aerial attacks, using some momentum, adding guns
in different places, etc. The most technical JCs at the time. One of them even has a sick Vergil. Strukkile even has some good style switching freestyle. Remained strong for years with a distinguished Chinese style, yet both of them unique from each other.
-BubbleMelody:
created probably my favorite DMC3 combo video ever. It almost seems like he came from DMC4, breaking the monotony of 3's meta with fluent usage of reversals and sideswitching subtleties, which is still rare to see.

Technical, creative, great sense of flow and aesthetic. His Dante Trial of Warrior run set the standard for both me and Blowhard. Shat out a great Style Switching combo video like it was nothing.
-475:
creative with the technical aspects of DMC3 when I first saw him, and later on focused on far more obscure and creative tech. A calculative genius of modern day DMC3. Also made the best hands video ever. Livestreams showed he can improvise.

-Blowhard:
I promise I am not biased, despite us going way back. His debut was with great Royal Guard which has gotten incredible even to this day, where he hardly gets hit standing still against multiple prides. His livestreams prove how hard he practiced it when he comes back

rusty years later, and has better RG than me with Vergil or anything really. Then he revolutionized Vergil again, bringing a clean, technical, movement heavy, long combos to DMC3. He then revolutionized Dante, making a cleaner iteration of BubbleMelody's Trial of Warrior run.
Unrelentingly consistent with a strong work ethic, perhaps partially fueled by drugs. And then he decided to throw a wrench into his playstyle and become far more improvisational and willing to get "dirty" after making one of the best combo videos for DMC3.
Vastly expanded upon Ramada's near-the-ground JCs, having the most technical JCs to the point where it's safe to say he pioneered that aspect of DMC3, yet sadly his Dante freestyle was fairly underrated compared to his almost equally insane Vergil freestyle.
Seeing some of his livestreams was incredible, much of it lost in time. Hard to even choose a video for him, as his combo mad is well known, I want to show perhaps his more underrate works. If I saved a particular livestream highlight it would've been easy
-LordGorlock:
My sensei. Taught me via his tutorials with great music. Creative wall run usage, and a great farewell video.

His combo mad was so unbelievably technical for the time (2011?) and showcased the first reversal used in a DT combo, to my knowledge. M17 run was also incredibly well done.

One of the most creative modern players. Not only are his combo videos of excellent, but he can do well in other areas of the game, such as fighting nearly every boss without touching the ground. The discipline and hard work is evident.
