Rant: Amelia was clearly frustrated and overwhelmed so that’s why she snapped at Link. She’s said it before, the only way she knows how to stay sober is to let her feelings out. So when Link was choosing to look at the bright side instead of dwelling in despair, she felt...
..trapped and stressed. It’s not Link’s fault, he was only doing his best trying to deal with the situation. But it’s also not Amelia’s fault. She was angry with the world, and Link’s positivity was something that she didn’t need or want at that moment.
So she snapped at him out of frustration, because that’s what humans do. We get angry in the heat of the moment, even if it’s towards a person we love. Give her a break. Cut her some slack. She’s a person too. And so is Link. We aren’t blaming Link. He was trying. They both were.
So let her feel. Link once said “sure, she feels her feelings in a big way, and that makes her better than most people I know not worst because it makes her authentic.” She’s authentic. She:”’s overwhelmed. Let her have her bad moment. Allow for Link to understand her.
Don’t say one was right, and the other was overreacting or being dramatic. Or in a more unpleasant way of saying it “the reason why she can’t keep her men”. That’s not what it is at all. They were learning to communicate, and to cope. This pandemic is no joke; couples get angsty,
they get annoyed at the even the slightest sound of cheerful humming or guitar strumming after being stuck at home feeling helpless and tired, with a million things on their minds. This speaks louder for Amelia, because of her past, the demons within her, fighting to get loose.
So please. Look at it from two perspective instead of just one. Understand both sides of the conflict, the words said and actions taken and put or hands together and believe that Amelink will never break.
that was me practicing my English essay writing :)
