Thread about flying as a passenger right now: I have more experience with this than most.
Because of my job, I travel all the time. Itâs unavoidable, and weâre busy because of the pandemic.
When I say all the time, I mean Iâve flown 28 international segments as a passenger

since March. A bunch of domestic sectors too. Average flight length about 9 hours, which includes multiple +14 hour legs, and even the longest flight in the world JFK-SIN just 2 weeks ago. This DOESNâT include time I was piloting.

Is so low. Anyway, I mask-up, KN95s most of the time, cloth when Iâm in a biz class âsuiteâ. Always N95 at the airport. I carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer and use it frequently.

Iâve
managed to remain covid free. Iâve taken dozens of PCR tests and a few antibody tests.
Iâm no scientist, but the evidence is clear that if you take precautions and you take it seriously, and youâre not in a high risk demographic - you will PROBABLY be fine.

With that said - I donât think itâs a good idea to fly if you donât have to, or if youâre 65+ and have risk factors.
But itâs also not suicide to get on a plane if you have a pretty good reason to get somewhere and youâre in decent health. So.
Bottom line: use common sense
