Thread about flying as a passenger right now: I have more experience with this than most.

Because of my job, I travel all the time. It’s unavoidable, and we’re busy because of the pandemic.

When I say all the time, I mean I’ve flown 28 international segments as a passenger👇
since March. A bunch of domestic sectors too. Average flight length about 9 hours, which includes multiple +14 hour legs, and even the longest flight in the world JFK-SIN just 2 weeks ago. This DOESN’T include time I was piloting.

Planes are pretty full. It’s because capacity👇
Is so low. Anyway, I mask-up, KN95s most of the time, cloth when I’m in a biz class “suite”. Always N95 at the airport. I carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer and use it frequently.

I don’t wipe down seats, or wear gloves or a space suit like some do 😂 but I’m careful.. 👇
I’ve đŸ€žđŸŒđŸ€žđŸŒmanaged to remain covid free. I’ve taken dozens of PCR tests and a few antibody tests.

I’m no scientist, but the evidence is clear that if you take precautions and you take it seriously, and you’re not in a high risk demographic - you will PROBABLY be fine.

-BUT- 👇
With that said - I don’t think it’s a good idea to fly if you don’t have to, or if you’re 65+ and have risk factors.

But it’s also not suicide to get on a plane if you have a pretty good reason to get somewhere and you’re in decent health. So.

Bottom line: use common sense âœŒđŸŒ
