2/ It is through his strategic ability of introducing new collections based on latest trends in a rapid manner that enabled Zara to beat other competitors. It quickly became the people’s favourite brand, especially with those who want to keep up with fashion trends.
3/ More Styles: Rather than producing more quantities per style, Zara produces more styles, roughly 12,000 a year. Even if a style sells out very quickly, there are new styles waiting to take up the space.
4/ Less clothing in stock means lower storage costs and fewer markdowns.
5/ Zara designs, produces, distributes and sells its collection in only four weeks, as opposed to the several months that its competitors take to do the same thing. This also means updating the stores with two new designs a week and keeping low stock levels.
6/ Zara, constantly collect information about consumers right from the source. Scouts go onto the streets and in the malls of cities to see what people are wearing.
7/ Zara is known for its stores. They are very strategically placed and they never go unnoticed by people. Zara spends very less on advertisement, only .3% of their revenue. That is 10 times lower than others.
