how to build ningguang for both dps and support; a thread from a ningguang main

heyyy in this thread ill show u how to build ningguang for dps and support :]

first her skills; ningguang is a burst dps that also serves very well as a support because of her passives and ability to generate elemental crystal shields. she fits well into basically every team if ure building her as a dps, backup plan is VERY important. it allows her to

hit her charges attacks when she has a jade behind her. this is probably one of the most important things to remember when ure playing her. ur charged attacks r what carries u!!!

for weapons, if ure building dps then lost prayer would be ur absolute first choice. lost prayer(5*)> skyward(5*)> solar pearl(4*)> black cliff amulet(4*)> widsith(4*). for f2p players mappa mare and prototype malice are okay too, even tho its not very recommended

weapons for ningguang support would be memory of dust(5*)> skyward(5*)> widsith(4*)> thrilling tales of dragon slayer(3*)> prototype malice(4*)> sacrificial fragment(4*)

for dps ningguang build, u mainly focus on crit rate and crit damage. its not necessary to get ur atk really high since she depends on her crit hits. here im using a 4 set retracing bolide, but 2 gladiator + 2 archiac petra is also ok on her. theyre pretty much equal so just

choose depending on the substats. for the artifacts, if u have a weapon that increases crit rate, u would want crit dmg on ur mask and vice versa. u always want ur cup to be geo dmg bonus!! if u look at my substats u can see i dont have a lot of atk rolls and thats ok!!!

for dps artifacts substats u want to prioritize crit rate> crit dmg> atk%> flat atk> energy recharge> elemental mastery
ur crit rate to crit dmg to ratio should be or be close to 1:2

for support ningguang artifacts its ideal to go 2 set archiac petra + 2 set retracing bolide, again, with geo dmg on ur cup. for substats, prioritize elemental mastery, atk% and energy recharge

the way u play dps ningguang is put down ur wall, walk through it, get a shield if ure using 4 set retracing bolide(if ure not u dont need to get a shield) and use ur burst. for hitting auto attacks: auto once to get a star jade, then use charged attack. star jades can stack up

to 3 and when u use ur charged attack they all fire towards the enemy. when ure using charged attack with star jades, the charged attack doesnt consume stamina, THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!

if ure wondering, i did drink a geo potion and a eat a crit rate food

for team building ik a lot of u r using her as a support bc of zhongli so that gives u the double geo bonus. it works if ure using zhongli as a support too. theres not much i can say abt team building for ningguang bc she fits well in any team

an ideal teambuild would be ningguang or zhongli as dps, bennett, and xinyan for support. this team will give u double geo bonus and double pyro bonus, with bennett and xinyan that basically maximizes ur damage

a breakdown on where im getting this geo dmg bonus: 24% from ningguang base stats, 12% from walking through jade screen, 34.8% from artifacts and 7% from geo potion

what i mean by this is as u can see im using a weapon that increases my crit dmg so i would want crit rate on my mask. if ure using a weapon that increases crit RATE, then u would want crit dmg on UR mask. build around what u have! https://twitter.com/qiqi4eva/status/1334704341794615296
