***This is a thread ***

I did some digging on the company that was hired to transport the voting machinery out of Gwinnet Co, Georgia after having a conv. with @APhilosophae I used to own and operate a freight company and some things just seemed off to me.
They are known as Buford Movers and/or Buford Moving Company on their website but I was unable to legitimize either as a legal entity.

Record shows that the legal name is Monty Williams and the DBA is 3 Movers 1 Truck. Below is the screen shot for the DOT look up.
The business 3 Movers 1 Truck, LLC is legitimate. They formed in 2014 and are currently active and in compliance. The address that the LLC is registered to matches the address for the DOT number.
So coming back to the DOT screen shot:
Monty Williams who is the owner of this company is an "Owner/Operator".

This is beneficial because the LLC provides you protections in business and if you are the only one physically driving the truck(s), then this wouldn't
be an issue.
This company is authorized for hire and has Intrastate Only non hazardous material (Non-HM) authority. So this driver can only operate his truck within the State of Georgia.
He is authorized ONLY for Household Goods. You can see the selection for General Freight was not made.
I would consider Voting Machinery being transported from 455 Grayson Hwy Suite 200, Lawrenceville GA and taking them to 75 Langley Dr, Lawrenceville GA to be either A.) General Freight or B.) Government Property.
When transporting freight for the gov, it is my understanding that there are specific requirements. Most would require that the carrier carry a surety bond. The minimum is typically $75,000.00 per year in order to maintain licensing with the DOT.
I searched and searched and cannot find public record of this driver or company having any public record surety bonds or insurance. This could be due to the fact that everything seems to be registered under different names, etc. Please feel free to dig it up and comment below.
The gov would typically require a Gov Bill of Lading. They are designed to meet requirements of gov shipping and receiving activities (which I would assume this would be),
audit requirements of the GSA, and record keeping for billing, etc.
It would be awesome if you could track this Bill of Lading to the person who ordered and signed off on both shipping and receiving.
In the U.S Government Freight Transportation handbook they state that Agencies shall maintain accountability records & physical control of all issued and unused bill of ladings. It's the truck driver's invoice so to speak.
Almost all truckers use Bill of Ladings but I believe the gov ones would be more specific or distinct. (I was never a gov contractor so I am not able to speak on this definitively).
The issue of a bill of lading AFTER performance of freight service is prohibited as well as issuing a duplicate of any sort.

So if there was any meddling or cover up in this after they realized that people had caught on to what they were doing, that would be a big problem.
This is just a very light dive into the company. I would encourage anyone who is actively in the freight business to weigh in on this. Again, I have not been running my prior company for about four years and this is just my experience and knowledge of the situation thus far.
It appears to me that the person who hired them in Georgia to move the machines was panicking and hired the first company that they googled. I would imagine that the government has a list of approved vendors to transport government property.
I could be reading too far into this, I could be wrong, but here is the information and feel free to dig deeper!

After all, we the people seem to be the only ones who are interested in true journalism and have to do the media's work for them.
