My parents told me we were "middle-class" growing up. What y'all know about hamburger soup? How bout peanutbutter sandwiches for dinner? Or mixing rice w/ any kind of meat you could get your hands on to make it stretch a whole week? How many weeks in a row did you live on ramen?
This isn't "middle-class". This is working-class. There's no shame in it. I'm proud of what I came from. Show me some Solidarity, tell me about your poor-food. What was your favorite? My favorite was chili and rice. Make a $1can of chili feed 3 people twice. Still love it today.
