The Reichskolonialbund was the 3rd Reich almost forgotten Colonial Organization, under the leadership of respectable German War Veteran Franz Ritter von Epp. An unique yet complicated organization within the borders of the Reich.
It's origins can be traced to various colonial organizations that surged in the aftermath of WW1. However the Reichskolonialbund itself was only officially created on 13th June 1936 by Ostafrika's former Governor Heinrich Schnee.
The Reichskolonialbund was marred with problems since it's creation, only 2 months after it's establishment, Rudolf Hess decreed it's disabandment and after lengthy discussions, the decree was revoked in November of the same year.
The RKG however would engage mostly with political agitation through newspapera, maganizes, conferences, colonial exhibitions (etc)
They intended to to  "keep the population informed about the loss of the German Imperial colonies, to maintain contact with the former colonial territories and to create conditions in opinion favourable to a new German African Empire"
The Reichskolonialbund had it's own youth organization (the "Colonial Youth") and paramilitary wing, both sections of the NSDAP. Their uniforms were explicitly designed to copy those of the German Empire.
With the start of WW2, the RKBa entered in decline. As the Reich begun focusing more on the East and the War in the West showed no fruits, the Reichskolonialbund became more irrelevant. It was finally dissolved by Bormsnn in 1943 on grounds of "activity irrelevant to the war".
