BH: Long due to no omissions.

“Tribute stage for the late Shin Hae Chul at the BigHit label joint concert? BigHit Entertainment (BH) is being criticized for its shitty sloppy planning.”

BH will hold '2021 NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE presented by Weverse' - https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/609/0000365719
This is the first joint concert by Big Hit in 15 years since creation. Founded in February 2005 by producer-turned-chairman Bang Si-hyuk, BH recently made an acquisition deal with Source Music and Pledis Entertainment, focusing on building the so-called ‘Big Hit Labels’. -
Total of 7 groups will appear, starting with Lee Hyun, BTS, TXT from BH, GFRIEND from Source Music, NU'EST from Pledis and Enhypen from Belift Lab.

Among them, BH announced that it would present a stage dedicated to the late singer Shin Hae Chul at a joint performance. Through -
holograms produced with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the late Shin Hae Chul and BH Label singers will collaborate. Performances of the late singer’s hit song ‘To You' and prototype stage of ‘What You Really Want', an unfinished work of the deceased were announced.-
BH explained, "In 2020, many people around the world had a hard and helpless days due to Covid pandemic. We rejected the stereotypical thinking of comforting everyone and prepared a tribute stage to remember musician Shin Hae-chul, who was also against stereotypes and had no -
hesitation in trying new challenges."

However, prospective audiences and even public opinion has been chilly. Although the intention of setting up a stage to honor a respected senior musician is good, the timing and the choice of the late artist is puzzling. The deceased had no-
direct contact/connection with BH. It’s hard to understand why he is the main character in the joint performance for the upcoming BH’s New Year's Eve concert.

There is a joke saying “Devil King’s (Shin’s nickname) tribute performance that even Devil King’s fans can't see.” -
This joint concert is a paid concert held by the official fan club-limited lottery system.

To see the performances, it costs a considerable amount of money (at least 154,000 won). Since it is difficult to hold both online and offline events due to the aftermath of Covid 19,-
it is highly likely that it will be held only in a non-face-to-face format, but live broadcasting will be charged.

Singers who did tribute performances have mostly used TV & cable broadcasts to increase accessibility to fans and the public who miss the deceased. For ex, Mnet's -
“M Countdown" presented a show under the theme of "Shin Hae-chul Tribute" on Oct. 22 this year to mark the 6th anniversary of the late singer.

The problem isn’t just the criticism of tribute stage. BH recently continued to make the fans scratch their heads. Although BH said it-
planned to maintain the independence of each label at the time of M&A, they are suddenly forcing/emphasizing ‘familyship’, starting with a joint performance (annual) titled “We’ve connected'.

On Nov 17, BH released a video titled “Sing ‘Dynamite' with me (feat. Big Hit Labels)”-
through its official YouTube channel. In the video, BTS's ‘Dynamite', which was released in August and ranked #1 on the US Billboard main single chart ‘Hot 100', is divided between BTS and TXT, Girlfriend, Enhyphen, Lee Hyun, Nana, and NU'EST. It remains a question what made -
them sing 3 months after song’s release. And for what reason? It’s fine for the fans to celebrate with the group, the composer and the lyricist by joining in on the fun. However, the cover of 'Dynamite' was a content that no other group’s fans ever wanted or imagined. -
Another controversial issue is BTS's "YOUTH” drama, which is scheduled to air next year. Bang, Chairman of BH, announced at a company briefing last August that he will work with a production company (Green Snake Media) as part of its brand IP (Intellectual Property) and -
storytelling IP business for corporate innovation to create a BTS-related drama.

Key point is that BTS won’t appear in the drama yet it is based on BTS's worldview (BU, BTS Universe), and it’s been confirmed each BTS members' real names will be used by the fictional characters.-
In the story, Min Yoongi is portrayed as a boy who is rumored to have killed his mother and set fire to his house, Jung Hoseok is a boy with painful memory of abandonment at an amusement park as a child, and Kim Taehyung is a scarred boy who lives with his drunkard father.-
Murder, arson & domestic violence are often used in dramas, but they have nothing to do with the actual childhood of BTS members.

It is highly likely to cause confusion among viewers & GP. As result, it remains to be seen whether the members' image will be adversely affected.-
Many fans concerned about this have continued their hashtag campaign to stop the usage of boys real names, but BH is being consistent by not responding.

It is natural for listed company to strive to expand their private assets and diversify their businesses. But no matter what -
you do, there are times & ways to accommodate large number of customers.

Attention is focused on when BH, which has become an icon of communication among fans of its artists, will listen to the fans' voices & achieve true communication and sincere development of sympathy.” End
