Had a lot of questions about City this week so I thought I’d do a quick thread of some quotes and thoughts about various players.
The first few quotes from Pep are pretty damning. They suggest that players who we previously thought were undroppable to no longer be. I think this is aimed at Sterling and Laporte. https://twitter.com/city_xtra/status/1333175977204191232
Raheem Sterling.

He was City’s most dangerous attacker from 2017 to 2019 but as most people have noticed; he has struggled this season.

Torres seems to be a genuine challenger for his spot. I’d maybe hold Sterling for the upside this week but would then be looking to sell.
Laporte/Stones.

Laporte had a bad game against Spurs and was dropped for John Stones who, with seemingly new motivation, has performed well against Olympiakos and Burnley.

Pep’s quotes suggest Stones might have just sneaked ahead of Laporte in the pecking order at the moment. https://twitter.com/city_xtra/status/1333397088009396224
Ruben Dias.

He’s offered much needed solidarity and consistently in defence. He’s our most nailed defender at the moment.

I’d like to see him play again versus Fulham but after a full 90 in midweek when Stones and Laporte got a full rest, his turn *might* come this weekend.
Joao Cancelo.

Unfortunately for owners I think he’s going to become part of the usual full-back rotation again.

He’s been solid to be fair but Pep saying he “helped” while the other left back options were injured suggests his minutes will be reduced now they’re fit. https://twitter.com/city_xtra/status/1333398321852018689
Quick ones:

Mahrez - Struggled this season but can’t argue with his home form against the lesser teams. Go for it if you fancy a gamble.

Foden - Not getting enough minutes in the league to justify going him over Jota.

Jesus - Go for it while Aguero is struggling for fitness.
