Sesshomaru's Growth Journey and the connection between his healing, his yoki and chakras (another thread)
1. When we first meet Sesshomaru, he’s more intent on showboating his power, killing humans that stand in his way, and even being hellbent on destroying his brother.

The Sesshomaru we are first introduced to is cold and cynical, with a big ego.
2. We find Sesshomaru on a journey of supreme conquest, eager to surpass his father and wield the Tessaiga. Instead, he inherits the Tenseiga, a healing sword which cannot cut.

This, in turn causes Sesshomaru to be “frozen in time, unable to move past an event”
3. In this instance, we can say, symbolically that his Root chakra was closed or unstable. The root chakra, located at the base of your spine, is associated with our means for survival, health, family, passion and moving forward in life.
4. An unstable or closed chakra means you are holding onto pain from trauma, death, or family life changes, contributing the the inability to move forward and preventing you from following your destiny.
5. A healthy root chakra promotes feelings of security & encourages exploration to find your life's purpose and achieve success.

In order to achieve this, Sesshomaru needed to let go of his resentment towards Inuyasha & his father over Tessaiga, and his obsession with the sword.
6. We can say that this chakra began to open as his interest in taking the Tessaiga began to wane. Once he fully released himself from his angst, he was able to regain his arm, and his own sword, which had been inside his body the entire time.
7. A balanced root chakra also generates the flow of energy to all chakras. This can also mean that all of Sesshomaru’s yoki, or demonic energy, needed to be in balance in order for him to discover his true power, to regenerate his arm, surpass his father and wield his own sword
8. It can be theorized that Rin and Sesshomaru both had unstable root chakras, since root chakras can be unstable due to trauma, loneliness and abandonment. It is possible that when Rin met Sesshomaru, he opened her first chakra, and she opened his forth.
9. This also ties into Rin’s destiny to help Sesshomaru, and become an important, if not the most important member of his team.

It’s obvious that Sesshomaru’s fourth chakra, his heart chakra was completely closed, while Rin’s was completely open.
10. This is where the two of them balanced, because Sesshomaru helped her feel secure, stable and grounded, and Rin helped him open his heart.

The fourth chakra is associated with love, compassion, safety, trust, forgiveness, and relationships.
11. If the heart chakra becomes unbalanced, you may feel detached from the world around you.

Balancing and opening the heart chakra enhances the love for self & others. It allows you to experience compassion, empathy, and forgiveness for others. It (re)connects you to the world
12. An open and balanced heart chakra is a powerful healing force. It can connect and resonate with others, causing them to look within and change themselves.
13. Meeting Rin helped Sesshomaru learn compassion (which he felt for Kagura), she opened his heart to emotions that were necessary for him to become stronger, especially since a demon would require stable energy to be powerful. It was the only way to surpass his father.
14. Over time, we see Sesshomaru becoming calmer and more benevolent, because he was able to balance the unstable energy within himself that was related to his own angst, and harmonize his energy to surpass his father.
Bonus: The moment Sesshomaru regained his arm. The energy around him is green, the color of heart chakra/energy. Maybe Toga wanted him to learn that the greatest power/energy is within the heart.

His red eye is the color of the root chakra. It's really a beautiful moment for him
