Do you watch TFT streamers? Do you want to improve the general chat experience and not say something that will agitate the streamer? Follow these basic rules to help make TFT streams great again!
Rule 1: Don't act as though you are the authority when addressing a high elo streamer. Typing things matter of factly in a game with unique decisions and variance like TFT is silly. An example like "shiv sucks dont make it" when there are good reasons to make it sometimes.
Rule 2: Don't tell the streamer they missed something on the rolldown. They can't be like "oh shit did I?"and get it back. All it does is induce tilt in the streamer because off stream they wouldn't have even noticed. If they miss units all the time, maybe respectfully mention it
Rule 3: If a streamer is doing a big transition and they miss a unit or fuck up exile buff or something, the last thing they want to see in chat is "lol u made X mistake" after doing 40 moves in 30 seconds. It's easy to spot watching, not easy to execute. They'll fix it after.
Rule 4: Try and ask questions in a way that doesn't insinuate the streamer is wrong, especially when they are likely higher rank than you. Ask them respectfully and give them a chance for input and maybe everyone (including the streamer) can learn something.
Rule 4 cont: Saying "why would u run 4 dusk it only buffs dusk units lol noob" is not the way to go. Asking if they "value 4 dusk on the dusk units or just ran it because it was the best thing they had" would be a much better way to phrase it and let the streamer elaborate more.
Rule 5: Don't whine about streamers missing your sub or donation at an important stage of the game. We need to respect the person playing the game and understand when is a crucial time for them to focus. Streamers aren't ignoring you and they will see your message eventually.
Rule 5 cont: Trust me, they value all the support they get. They literally can't do what they are doing without dedicated fan support, so the last fucking thing they want to do is make someone feel like they're ungrateful. Just be a patient if its at a hectic moment in game.
Final Rule: If you're going to offer a suggestion to the streamer regarding the game, try and provide some credentials and actual reasoning behind your thoughts/input. Saying "hey man do this right now" is not helping anyone, especially if they don't know you.
Anyways, I've just been noticing a lot of streamer tilt/burnout in the community recently and I think the chat has had something to do with it. Hopefully if this spreads and people see this we can improve chat for everyone and help our favourite streamers keep their mental.
