REGIONS will go into lockdown when their ICU availability falls below 15%.
SD County is part of the Southern California region and our sister counties are: Imperial, Inyo, LA, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, SLO, SB and Ventura.

Gov. Newsom said today that he estimates our region's collective ICU availability will fall below 15% in early December.
So what does that mean.

So what does that mean.
48 hours after our ICU availability falls below the threshold, our region will be required to abide by the new Regional Stay At Home Order rules. Those rules will have to remain in effect for at least 3 weeks.
After that period, the order will be lifted when our region’s ICU capacity meets or exceeds 15%.
Here are the sectors that must close during the new order:
- Indoor/outdoor playgrounds
- Indoor recreational facilities
- Hair salons and barbershops
- Personal care services
- Museums, zoos, and aquariums
- Movie theaters
- Wineries
- Bars, breweries, and distilleries

Other sectors can remain open, but with modifications in addition to masking and social distancing.

Allowed to remain open, but without any food, drink or alcohol sales. Overnight stays at campgrounds NOT permitted.

The state didn't specify what our region's ICU capacity is sitting at right now, but we're working on figuring that out.
