I've been lucky in life with the friends network i have. Last year i was doing lots of running. 5ks here & there regularly during the week & then in August 2019 i got sick with something that wouldn't shift but when i recovered from it in fully in Nov/Dec time i was feeling blue
2) couldn't motivate myself at all. In March20 i then got really sick (pretty sure COVID but never tested) lost sense of smell/taste which is still yet to have fully returned. Aches, pains & fatigue/exhaustion. There was a point there i genuinely believed i was in my last days to
3) the point i wrote a will, letter to my wife & daughter. The country went into full on lock down & i went back to work, not quite the same. Now Ive decided that i have to restart again & that i would use the Couch to 5k app again. Day 1 week 1.... i could have cried, my fitness
4) has deteriorated so much over the last year. Feeling very much sorry for myself until i see this wonderful message on my Strava from @earlyyearscop "major Kudos buddy" so i think to myself i need some advice so onto the phone. We chat about a lot of things. I tell him how down
5) i feel about my fitness, he then went through my Strava stats with me on the phone and for this i hold so much love for him. At times we all need help, support or guidance in something we do, at this point it was having my mate show me the positives i couldn't see in my stats
6) so now tomorrow is day 2 of week 1. I will get back to were i was and with the support of friends like @earlyyearscop i know i can do this. Acts of kindness no matter how small they are to you, can mean the world to someone else. Thank you đŸ˜ŠđŸ‘đŸ»
