let's have a quick chat about the popularization of sex work:

just because you see someone you follow online who appears to be having fun and making money from OF, stripping, being a sugar baby, porn, etc does not mean that it is a job that will work for you
sex work that is in the public eye (eg online sex work, selling content etc that relies on a brand) comes with negative stigma and influences on career and family. countless people have their content leaked which is sometimes protected legally but leaks cannot be undone
there are personal setbacks in the way of being cut off from family, being refused access to see friend's/relative's children (despite the content ONLY involving consensual adults!) in case you 'influence' them, being harassed and doxxed
(i want to add that this thread should have had a trigger warning so if you're seeing this now, here is your warning)
TW

in person sex work that's being popularized/glamourized eg stripping and sugaring come with the added benefit of more anonymity but come with the risk of 'stealthing', physical/sexual assault, ongoing abuse, stalking, ptsd triggers
i saw this YEARS ago with people like lana del rey making the idea of having a sugar daddy/being a stripper 'sexy and cool' when in actual fact it's a real form of sex work and sugaring especially comes with next to no protections and high risk of abuse
and you will only see of the most financially successful. there is this idea that sugar babies, strippers, OF creators are all rolling in it. not true. it's not a necessarily profitable industry and people who are successful usually have had a platform ahead of time
people have messaged me about how my early success has inspired them to start an OF, i beg you to consider the risks and rewards. i have 7k followers on here and 26k on tiktok where i have been publicly messy and slutty for a while, accidentally garnering interest ahead of time
for most people that's not the case! so you may be throwing yourself into a risky industry where your social media will be sacrificed for little to no pay off. if you think you can make it work for you and you've genuinely given it a level headed thought, best of luck to you
