The people scolding that #DefundThePolice is a "bad slogan" do not believe in defunding the police, at all. At ALL. They hate the idea. It fills them with terror and dread.

But they're trying to hide that by acting like marketing know-it-alls. It's very transparent.

Whatever their reasons for hating the actual idea of #DefundThePolice, they'd rather act like disinterested-but-savvy political geniuses than say what they plainly believe.

So besides being unwilling to HELP victims of police violence, they want to condescend too. Nauseating.

I say this mostly to My Fellow White People: if you're big on lecturing black people who want to #DefundThePolice, have the moral courage to say what you really believe and want.

Don't pose like an ally if you're not one. None of you have a "better slogan." How ridiculous.

The cruelty, dishonesty and indifference about police violence from My Fellow White People -- and most of the Democratic Party -- goes back a long, long way. Don't act like a marketing expert when you what you're really saying is: I don't share your goals. Tough shit.

And if you genuinely don't understand what #DefundthePolice is or isn't, do some fucking research. It's easy to find and not hard to understand.

If you genuinely agree, then start helping. If you don't, stop hiding behind some made-up story about what *other* people might think.

Public opinion is not carved into granite for all time. It can and always does respond to pressure, work, etc. #BlackLivesMatter was (and still is) nitpicked forever "as a slogan" by some of you same *concerned* people. You're just not credible anymore.

The Republican Party is monstrous, I will cheer if it ever dies. But (you knew it was coming) the Democratic Party in charge of so many cities around this country has SHOWN repeatedly that they're on the side of police violence. You're not a well-meaning ally, you're the enemy!

You may not be the only enemy, but you're an enemy. You've let your people be murdered, brutalized, humiliated by police forever. In fact, you've CAUSED it. Now you want to dictate the wording of your victim's response to you, too? Eat shit forever.
