Pirated content is merely a traffic driver to monetized content at PH. They have a lot of monetized content so they don't need your content as much as they need to pirated version of your content as the traffic driver.

Internet monetization IS TRAFFIC.
I see folks rightfully lamenting content violation takedowns on content that was okay pirated. That's the secret. They aren't monetizing the pirated content so TOS don't apply. Once it is monetized then the bank decides what stays and what goes.
So the pirated content can stay up as long as possible as the rule is if material is copyrighted it is up to the owner to protect it. So they don't have to take it down even with my website plastered all over it. And that content funnels traffic into their true money machine.
The moral is a ton of the pirated content violates their TOS and can and will only exist on their site as a copyright-violating cash funnel to monetized content. If you make fetish material I wouldn't view PH as any kind of a revenue source unless you are very tame.
But they'll take it down, and put your name up in its place (don't get me started on that). But they will remove it. I just don't see a lot of viability monetizing through them with fringier content.
