the tax the rich sweatshirt...ppl are like not ready for the reality that fair wages for garments (& sustainability for that matter) mean things will be more expensive + you'll own less of them.
it's hard + it feels bad + ppl already don't make enough money themselves! i get it and i feel it too but what's the alternative? should we all just continue pretending buying gobs of sweatshop clothing to feel better is self-care?
what's also difficult (& obv this is purposeful on the part of companies) is that it's easy to deduce very cheap fast-fashion clothing is made unethically. it becomes harder when brands are midrange or luxury. but higher prices don't necessarily mean $ is going to the right ppl.
