For parent company AT&T (T$) this means less profit since it blows up the windowing schedule and cuts into residuals and backend for talent and producers ... applaud @jasonkilar for doing what consumers want, but for his cash-starved overlord, I have to wonder what's going on
if @HBOmax continues down this road, which looks likely, they may have to start borrowing heavily to make those $100mm blockbusters, the same way Netflix borrowed from the bond markets (still do) ... can't imagine AT&T would go for that
