1/4 Today's #GeoAdvent is all about our youngest geographers. These are some of the wonderful classroom resources we use in #primarygeography to enhance their understanding of the world: #lovegeography
2/4 The locality: Now ‘ #hyperlocalfieldwork’ but in #primarygeography it's just the 'locality'. Where children can understand local and global processes and features. As well as enhancing their #wellbeing through developing their sense of self, identity and citizenship.
3/4 Maps: Whether looking at global patterns, distant places or the locality @googleearth @Esri images & map help #primarygeography children make sense of the world and #lovegeography
4/4 Stories: Through interacting with others, children develop their views and values. Looking at stories in the past is the amazing School Collection from @duchas_ie - hundreds of stories from 1930s Ireland. So no marriages in Co Mayo during #geoadvent!
