I find it comical that people still have no clue why reserves are the responsibility of the federal government. Back in the day we were FORCED to live here and the government wouldn’t let us leave the reserve without checking in and being approved to leave by the RCMP. 1/
We were forced into poverty and dependence by the federal government. Now people can’t afford to leave their reserves to pursue opportunities. The cycle of addiction and poverty is 100% the result of the actions of previous governments. Don’t tell me it’s not. 2/
And yet, we are STILL forced to live without basic necessities. It’s so disgusting that we have to fight to be treated like human beings after all the shit we were put through and here we are in 2020 we are still fed lies and false promises. 3/
I can sit here and educate until I’m blue in the face but some of you still don’t get why we expect basic services. And honestly that’s your problem. Not mine. I have bigger fish to fry than to sit here and fight ignorance. 4/
The fight will end when we don’t have to fight for our people to be treated like people again. It’s insulting that the government treats us like idiots and continue to lie to us almost every day. I’m over it. I’m just done with the nonsense. 5/
