This is a good question! (Thread incoming) The quick answer is no, but it's because lifting is fun for me. I've been powerlifting for over a decade and have fucked around in weight rooms since HS. That isn't to say that some days I don't want to lift, but I never get tired of it. https://twitter.com/Falcon_of_Stark/status/1334533343485063176
Now this isn't to say that you HAVE to love it. It's actually the opposite. It's okay if you get tired of lifting, but if you're just in it for health, know that lifting weights isn't the ONLY way to do that. You can hike, jog, play some basketball, pole dance, pilates, etc.
Being healthy, getting strong, and bodybuilding always get treated as the same thing, but it isn't. They all require different paths and the most important thing is knowing what you want out of it. If you just wanna be healthy and be in shape, you don't have to lift big.
Also, I said this on Off Topic and @fbaftermath says this all the time, but stop chasing other people's bodies. Everyone is built different and what works for someone else may not work for you, and you will not be able to get the same body as someone else. Just do you.
And finally, if you think that "getting in shape/abs/muscles" is going to help you love your body more, I got news for you. You won't be able to appreciate any progress you gain from working out till you learn to love yourself as is. I had body dysmorphia and can tell you...
noticing how shredded you are AFTER you gain weight again sucks. So, love it now, love it then, love your body always. You're stuck in it anyway.
