Also state law in Oklahoma. Statute 47-11-502. Drivers must yield to pedestrians at all unsignalized crosswalks (including marked and unmarked crosswalks - so regardless of paint status). https://twitter.com/lindsaybanks/status/1327297686882684935
Now, that doesn't mean pedestrians can freely cross wherever they want. State Statute 47-11-503 says pedestrians must yield to drivers when crossing outside of a marked or unmarked crosswalk.
Further, if adjacent intersections have traffic control devices, pedestrians are not allowed to cross anywhere but those intersections. So if you're parking across the street from OKCPS HQ, you have to cross 5th at Western or Classen (Unless this closing happens - @FreePressOKC)
Here's an example of an unmarked crosswalk, SE 48th (and 49th) at SunnyLane - where one road aligns and continues on the opposite side. So although there's no paint, it's legally an unmarked crosswalk where drivers must yield to pedestrians.
