State dept of health notified healthcare providers that we're beginning a tiered COVID19 vaccine administration to start in December. I’m guessing I’ll have the Pfizer vaccine by January. I am relieved. Hoping that assisted/nursing home residents will be next in line
My 2 cents: I'm absolutely comfortable receiving either Pfizer or Moderna. Possible side effects are similar to other vaccines (fatigue, headache, fever, etc.) even if they could be more intense. They are still transient and not life-threatening. COVID19 is what is deadly.
Less than 2% of folks have had intense severity of those side effects--intense body aches, fever, malaise, etc. They tended to last around a day and resolved w/o issue. Indicates your immune system is working well! Getting this info out there for transparency/to help ease anxiety
