There are *several* large law firm 'BHR teams' with not a single listed person I could put on a panel on BHR. They just don't have the qualifications, expertise, or noted experience needed for these discussions.

It's like they think that because they understand other areas of law, they can just 'pick up' human rights. Or that IHRL is some malleable non-entity devoid of real rules and governed by instinct. It's not.

IHRL, and subsequent #bizhumanrigths, a complex legal field with rules, obligations of conduct & outcome, limitations, balances, derogations, all of which in turn have sub-rules, limitations, and exceptions.

The hubris that it takes to have a #bizhumanrights team at a major firm without a single IHRL specialist--& the inefficiency that causes in the development of the field--might be why I find myself banging my head against a proverbial wall ~40 times a year. Just mindblowing.
