I've been making a list of 2020 "hidden gem" video games I want to check out and it is SO LONG ya'll.

I'll thread some here.

Caveat: This is a reflection of my personal taste -- there's like 8 AWESOME-looking roguelite platformers I left off as a result.
1. There Is No Game : Wrong Dimension -- Referential, "outside the box" point-and-click
2. Bug Fables -- Paper Mario RPG
3. Post Void -- Gonzo FPS
4. Huntdown '80s side-scrolling action
5. Phoenotopia -- Awakening - Zelda II-like
6. Paradise Killer -- Vaporwave Ace Attorney
7. Part-Time UFO -- Play as a crane-game crane!
8. No Straight Roads -- EDM/Rock rhythm third-person combat
9. TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children -- Japanese SRPG
10. The Solitaire Conspiracy -- Cyberpunk solitaire adventure
11. In Other Waters -- Chill-out story game; play as an AI
12. Ikenfell - Paper Mario/Earthbound-influenced TRPG
13. Slasher's Keep -- first-person dungeon hack
14. Filament -- story-rich puzzle game. One mechanic stretched to its limit.
15. Good Job! -- Smash through offices
16. Carto -- Build a game world Carcassonne-style to solve puzzles
17. Amazing Cultivation Simulator -- Rimworld but w/ Chinese magical realism.
18. Plebby Quest: The Crusades -- Crusader Kings but very silly.
19. The Longing - A game that takes place over 400 real-world days
20. Horizon's Gate -- Uncharted Waters-like. Explore, trade, pirate.
