I'm going to start a little thread of past Crosstown Shootouts over the next couple days........
1993-94: Xavier knocks off #19 Cincinnati in OT at the Gardens behind Jeff Massey's 20 points
1996-97: #1 in the country, #2 in their own city
1997-98: #9 Xavier blows out UC 88-68. The Bearkittens turned the ball over 29 times.
1999-2000: Xavier does it again, knocking off #1 UC at the historic Cincinnati Gardens.
2000-2001: Lloyd Price steals the ball from Steve Logan and puts Xavier ahead. Xavier beats #18 UC 69-67 for their 4th win in 5 years.
2002-2003: National Player of the Year, David West dominated the Bearcats, scoring 23 points in Xavier's 50-44 win. UC shot just 30% from the field, and it was their first home loss in nearly 2 years.
2003-04: Lionel Chalmers hit the game winning shot to knock off #10 UC, 71-69. The unranked (at the time) Musketeers would go on to the Elite 8, while UC only made it to the second round. UC has played in the second weekend of the tournament just one time since 2002.
2007-08: Derrick Brown lead Xavier with 17 points as #17 Xavier beat UC 64-59. Xavier would go on to the Elite 8 for the 2nd time in 4 seasons. UC finished the season 13-19.
2008-09: #9 Xavier wins by double digits at UC. Derrick Brown lead the Musketeers with 20 points and CJ Anderson had 17 points.
2009-10: Xavier knocks off #19 UC 83-79 in double overtime. Tu Holloway lead the Muskies with 26 points and Jordan Crawford chipped in 16.
2011-12: The Bearkittens got their feelings hurt in this 23 point beat down
2013-14: Xavier blows out UC 64-47 at UC Bank Arena. Justin Martin lead the good guys with 17 points. Justin Jackson for UC played 28 minutes and scored just 1 point in his senior season.
2014-15: The @DeeDavisX game
2015-16: #12 Xavier comes out of the gates at the Cintas on fire. Myles Davis leads the Muskies with 17 points. Ed Sumner puts Octavius Ellis on a poster. Gary Clark scored 0 points in 29 minutes.
2017-18: @jpmacura & @TrevonBluiett finish their Xavier careers 3-1 in the shootout with a dominating performance over #11 UC. Bluiett lead the Muskies with 28 points.
2019-20: @naji_marshall with a legendary performance dropping 31 points as Xavier wins their 8th consecutive Crosstown Shootout at the Cintas Center.
