It doesn’t matter if you’re uncomfortable with the term “fascism.” That’s what it is.
Fascism is autocracy that sacrifices community wellbeing for the benefit of the state. While Alberta is a province, not an independent nation, UCP has been operating as an outlier to Canada.

The economy has become paramount in all decision making. Profits have become primary objectives and human life is a secondary or tertiary consideration.

You may not like the term fascism. But the only other word that describes this situation adequately is a cull. People are being allowed to become infected and die to preserve corporate and business profits.

We can no longer ignore reality. People’s lives are being sacrificed so businesses can remain open. Casinos, strip clubs, bars and lounges, restaurants, fitness centres, shopping malls, etc. have all been given priority over human life.
Livelihoods and personal liberty have become superior to life itself.

The “job” was imposing paleolibertarianism in Alberta. They’ve achieved their objective. So, I guess, if that is the measuring rod, they have done a good job.

When those that govern are pleased with their performance as the govt plans to conceal people dying in the streets by providing field hospitals, we’ve normalized totalitarian dictatorship.

The UCP is not incompetent. Not in the traditional sense. They have engineered the de facto removal of Albertans’ constitutional rights and freedoms to alter the mode of governance in Alberta. Which will inevitably influence the mode of governance in all of Canada.
CPC and NDP are attempting to force an election. Their combined and aligned rhetoric is clearly indicating their non-confidence in the Liberal party.
