Just leaving this one here. Our Law Commission. The spiralling lack of reason, the abandonment of any sense of proportionality.
Law Comm. Hate Crime Consultation Q11: "We provisionally propose that gender or sex should be a protected characteristic for the purposes of hate crime law." Do consultees agree?

Back to sex and gender at Consultation Question 14: 'We provisionally propose a protected category of “sex or gender” rather than choosing between either “gender” or “sex” if hate crime protection were to adopt a general approach.' Do consultees agree?
If we add in age as a protected characteristic, we can all report each other. A reminder that this is our Law Commission; that I have not come across a member of the police or our parliament who is objecting to all this? Anyone?
Why make a consultation short and serious, when you can go on and on, further down a rabbit hole?
So it goes on and on. It's a shame that humans invented conversation, the Phoenicians, writing.
When a situation is bad, its actually insulting to make the language so polite.
Folks, the Law Commission is perhaps on our team. This is surely parody? Trouble is our institutions should take freedom of speech, presumption of innocence, legitimate role of the police seriously. Please tell the Law Commission what you think.

Please keep going till you get to Question 24. Here is where you can say concisely that we should do away with the concept of hate crime. Or if you don't want to go that far, hate incidents.
After Q24 there is a string of questions where you can ask for the concept of hate crime, or hate incident, to be done away with. PLEASE do this. Good if these come in the same point in the responses so they can be compiled and seen!
NOOOO!!! Intersectionality!!! Can you even make head or tail of the question? Was this intended to be an esoteric exercise for an inducted elite who understand certain rarified language & relevant terminology? No way - it's our democracy. Please keep going till Q32!
There should be an enquiry into this consultation. We don't need this rabbit hole. Heads should roll.
Sigh
Groan
This looks important. Please keep going till Q45.
Law Commission consults as to whether we should be accusable of hate crimes & hate incidents for speaking inside our own homes! Please tell them what you think! Closes Dec 24.
