2/ @BaseProtocol is the S&P 500 of crypto. Pegged to the total crypto market cap, $BASE gives holders exposure to the performance of the entire crypto industry.

$BASE uses an elastic supply and rebasing protocol similar to $AMPL from a tech standpoint however...

3/ ...functionally, $BASE is completely different because of its peg to market cap. While $BASE respects $AMPL as a pioneer in the elastic supply model, $BASE believes the use case of total crypto industry tracker will be far more interesting for the cryptocurrency community...

4/ ...than a stable $1 peg.

What are the advantages over AMPL?

It is more transparent in terms of arbitrage opportunities and the possibility of setting up derivatives based on $BASE Also it’s a great opportunity to get in earlier since the market cap is still around $2M

5/ The Base Cascade rewards users who stake their BASE in the liquidity pool. The Cascade issues rewards based on how long users stake their tokens in the pool – more and longer you provide liquidity the greater share of the pool you receive. Pretty straight forward.

8/ So I’d like to sum it up for you. $AMPL price depends mostly on whales or humans psychology where $BASE price mostly depends on conditions of the total crypto market. $AMPL is more primitive and manipulated(no hate tho). DYOR and use you best judgment.
