Bull market thoughts:
Everyone looks like a genius in a bull market because everything keeps going up.
This is when you can make life changing amounts of money but don't think it'll last forever and have a clear exit or wealth retention strategy for when the bull market ends.
One of the hardest parts about trading is changing from bull to bear & back. Most people fail at this and blow up their accounts. It's only the flexible people that can survive a full market cycle.
Just look at people still calling $10k or lower targets for BTC. They'll get rekt.
Paid groups:
If the people running them were actually good traders, they wouldn't need your money and run a paid group. Someone that runs a paid group or sells a trading course doesn't have skin in the game.
You would be surprised how few of the paid group leaders actually trade
Wealth:
This is more of a life lesson rather than a crypto lesson but don't assume someone's trade size or portfolio.
Some of the anon, small accounts on Twitter are the biggest whales while some of the "famous" Crypto Twitter traders are trading with 0.1 btc trading size.
Leverage:
Leverage is great, you can play around with 100 times more money than you actually have. Which also means that you'll get liquidated with a 1% move.
My advice: never trade alts with leverage since they're way more volatile than BTC. Try to limit your leverage with BTC.
Scams:
Cloud mining is always a scam.
Anything Roger Ver or Calvin Ayre endorse.
Ripple.
If it looks too good to be true, it is.

That being said you're only a real Crypto Twitter person if you've been scammed at least 5 times. That's the bare minimum.
The cycle is as follows:
Bitcoin breaks ATH
Mainstream media covers Bitcoin
Retails comes
Shitcoins pump hard
Flippening talk
BTC pumps hard & outperforms shitcoins
People on tv show you how to buy Ripple & post articles like this: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/13/style/bitcoin-millionaires.html
That's when you sell
