if you're looking to quit sp****y but will miss on-the-go music: there's an app called subsonic that lets you run your own private streaming service. i can stream or dl anything from my library all without giving Ek and his goblin mates any money

side benefit of subsonic is when you're in second hand record stores you can check if you already have that particular Vangelis LP on the server at home

oh and if you have a digital library 'resilio sync' is a great way to mirror it to another computer (but a backup on a HD in cupboard is even better)

reason i'm posting this is i've seen a few music journalists (!) posting about how they pay sp****y to make up for their inability to manage their own music library and... i dunno. EVERY PENNY YOU SPEND IS A VOTE FOR THE KIND OF WORLD YOU WANT. EVERY PENNY.
