One can almost see the evolution of the walls of the tomb, from the more militaristic style of the tomb at Kabirwal built in the 1100s to the Tomb of Shah Rukn-e-Alam in 1300s.

When the Tughlaqs went from being the governors of Multan to the Kings of Delhi they took the architecture with them.

One of the most prominent feature of all Tughlaq architecture is the sloping wall which was first seen in Multan.
