Hannibal AU where Will is a contract killer and Hannibal is his canonical self !
—
Will is perched on a roof of a building, following his target through the viewfinder of his sniper rifle. Just before pulling the trigger, he sees a strange man wearing a plastic suit approach-
his target and kill him in one swift jab of the knife. The plastic-covered man throws the corpse into his car and drives away. Will is pissed. This kill was going to cover his expenses for the next month, and now this stranger has ruined it for him. Will decides to find out -
Everything about him and kill him if necessary. Is he a rival assassin? Did Will’s employer hire this guy to kill Will’s target because he doubts Will’s ability to complete the job? If employer doesn’t trust Will to complete the jobs, he needs to know. So, he does some digging -
And finds out the mysterious man is Hannibal Lecter. One night, when Lecter is out, Will breaks into his house and hides, intending to ambush the guy when he gets home.

Will creeps through the dark living room, and suddenly there’s a voice behind him.

“Good evening Mr Graham,
I don’t believe we’ve met.”
Will turns on his heels and sees Lecter there, hiding in the shadows.
“Consider this an introduction, Dr Lecter. Who do you work for?” Will responds dryly.
“Only myself,” Hannibal explains with a polite smile. Will is skeptical of that. -
“I saw you kill a dude on that deserted dock. You were hired to do it.”
“It wasn’t work. Rather, personal leisure.”
“Your leisure cost me five figures,” Will scoffs.
Hannibal tilts his head, realising exactly why Will is so angry.
“You can claim him as one of yours, I won’t-
object,” he offers.
“Too late for that,” Will huffs, “my employer always demands proof. A body part.”
“I can provide that.” Hannibal leaves and fetches a chunk of well-preserved meat for Will.
“Are you eating him or something?” Will laughs in disbelief.
“Would it alarm you if-
I was?”
“No. As long as you don’t kill any more of my targets,” Will states. Then, after a moment of hesitation, he adds: “You can take the bodies after I’m done though.”
“Sounds like we have an agreement then.”
“Sounds like we do.”
“Happy hunting,” Hannibal says with a smile.
