Thanks for all the messages. Really helpful and something that I will start implementing it from now and try and be as disciplined as possible. Took some time to step away from here and reflect on what exactly i can start doing. A very clear thing is that I only experience... https://twitter.com/FPLFanatix/status/1333642474409979904
These extreme emotions during the GW and not after / before. I can easily put the GW behind me once we reach TUE/WED. As @Reuser5 advised, I'll be completely stopping to look at live rank during a GW. It doesn't help AT ALL. It only elevates emotions unnecessarily.
In addition i have to and will try and not keep overanalysing decisions already made but instead have a forward looking approach. Easier said than done but I'll be logging off twitter as soon as a GW starts and will come back once the GW has ended
This is to ensure I avoid seeing GW scores fly around during a GW and feeling overwhelmed by them. An extreme step but one that I have to. I will also try and not look at OR even when the GW ends but that'll obviously be very difficult. Will try my best
Also one last thing, as lots had replied to me and I concur is that I don't enjoy the FPL highs as much as I feel down during the FPL lows. I don't celebrate green arrows but feel too bogged down by a red one. Need to start enjoying the good GWs way more (not consider it normal)
Which will make it much easier to deal with bad GWs too. I am also too critical of myself and treat each GW as a full season when it's not. 1 GW doesn't define anything and I know within that I'm not a bad manager. Some decisions will go wrong, some will right, i need to focus on
The decision making process and enjoy it. So a few small steps will hopefully help me come a long way of dealing with these extreme emotions during a GW
1) No live rank, try and not look at OR even after a GW
2) log off twitter during a GW
3) celebrate each good GW
Lastly, the FPL community still an amazing place as evidenced again by the replies i got. Always there to help you and is the only reason I never feel like going away from here completely. So many good interactions and so much to learn. Thank you so much to each one of you
