I've been living of disability benefits most of my 20s, if I didn't have Spotify or streaming services I wouldnt have the same music taste I have now, it would either be pirated and limited to recommendations or my taste would reflect what ever I can access for free.

CDs and records pullute the planet and merch is usually made in terrible conditions. Tours pump CO2 in to the atmosphere.
